My Dynamic Discs Story: During the summer of 2013, I was working a dead end job with no real end in sight. There was nothing about my situation that I was satisfied with. Having recently graduated from Emporia State University as a 26 year old, I knew that I needed to find my career soon. Little did I know, the start of my career was only a couple weeks away.

My wife pointed the job listing out to me on Emporia State University’s job search website. As someone who played disc golf off and on since high school, it was easy to identify a liking with the open position. I looked the job listing three times over, only to realize that outside of motivated and ambitious to find a career, I met none of the necessary criteria, specifically the Photoshop skill set that was recommended. Bound and determined to seem worthy of the position, I gave myself a 30 minute crash course on Photoshop the night before my interview, thinking to myself there was no way I would actually be called on to perform these tasks in an interview. I was wrong. My conviction regarding success and being an asset to the company must have surpassed my Photoshop inexperience as I was offered a job a week later.

I started working in an entry level position in the DyeMax department, and quickly became consumed with the passion and work ethic that was manifested through the company, consisting of ten employees and starting at the top with Jeremy Rusco. Fast forward almost ten years, and I’m proud to say that I love every day I get to come to work. I feel so fortunate that I’ve had the opportunity to grow with the company as a professional. I’ve seen so many changes that it’s hard to recollect on all of them. The only thing that hasn’t changed is the unparalleled work ethic and level of motivation that each and every employee walks through the door with everyday. I can’t see myself doing anything else and am looking forward to the rest of my career with Dynamic Discs.
