Beginner Tip

I think it is important to not get overwhelmed by all of the disc choices out there. I would start out with throwing a mid range. The Fugitive would be a great choice because it is much easier to control than a driver. You can focus on technique because the flight is going to be more consistent for you than trying to figure out a driver. Don't try any fancy footwork. Learn to reach back and bring the disc across your chest and follow through to the target. Once you feel comfortable with this and have control then you can incorporate an x step and try using high speed discs.

Most Memorable Moment

Making the finals in the 2011 PDGA Disc Golf World Championships in Santa Cruz! It was such a surreal experience competing against the elite in front of hundreds of spectators. The camera crew was all around us and it felt like we were superstars. I will always hold on to that moment of feeling like a true athlete and being confident in my game when it counted most. I finished 3rd overall and will continue to work hard to get to that number 1!

What Separates Team Dynamic Discs?

We are a family! There is so much communication that goes on within the players and Rusco. He takes the time to call and email players and we have the opportunity to be a part of what is going on. We all help each other out and have great relationships with each other. I feel like we are the good guys! There are no egos on the team. We support each other and Rusco's passion for growing the sport is infectious.

In The Bag

Drivers

Dynamic Discs BioFuzion Escape

I use this disc for controlled fairway shots. It gives me great distance with little fade.

Dynamic Discs Lucid Thief

I use this for hyzer flip shots on technical courses.

Dynamic Discs BioFuzion Trespass

I use this disc for controlled distance shots. It doesn't have a ton of speed which helps me to control it, but it has more distance than fairway drivers.

Dynamic Discs Lucid Freedom

This is a high speed max distance driver I use for long open shots. I also use it for long turnover shots if I need to get up over trees.

Latitude 64 Opto River

I use this for long approach shots where a midrange is just out of reach. It is lower speed and easy to control.

Latitude 64 Opto Flow

This is my main distance driver. It flies overstable and fast so I can really get on top of it on an angle and trust it to come out and give me its full flight.

Westside Discs VIP King

This disc is my favorite to throw! It gets sneaky distance and is quite fast. I like the way it turns right and gets good distance before it fades left.

Westside Discs Tournament Giant

I use this for hyzers and trust this the most in any winds. I get good distance out of it and will always finish left.

Midrange

Dynamic Discs BioFuzion Fugitive

I use this for straight fairway shots and also anhyzers. This holds my line better than any midrange I have tried.

Dynamic Discs Lucid Verdict

I use this for overstable shots and trust this disc in any wind.

Latitude 64 Gold Claymore

I use this for straighter, longer approach shots where my mids are too long and putters are too short. It is a great in between disc for me.

Putters

Dynamic Discs Lucid Judge

I use this as my main approach putter. It gets great glide and is easy to control. Feels great in my hand and is on point every time.

Westside Discs VIP Harp

This is my overstable approach ptter. I use this when the winds are a bit strong and I can trust to finish left.

Latitude 64 Zero Hard Pure

My main putter to putt with. I have used this for 2 years and I have so much confidence with it. It is fairly straight and glides well.
