Beginner Tip

Play with your local disc golf club, and you'll find out how much you can learn from the Professionals, and you'll be pleasantly surprised how quickly you will improve. Secondly, practice and focus on the high-percentage shots first, and seek professional tips on the more challenging shot types. And lastly, enjoy the sport, because it's one of the best camaraderie games out there.

Most Memorable Moment

It's a tie – (1) It was the most intense I've ever felt on any one shot, during the 2012 Am World Championships. During the Final 9, on the last hole, with a healthy gallery watching, facing a lengthy uphill putt for 2nd place, wind whipping strong in the dreaded 4:30 direction, using maximum time to think, I firmly drilled the putt dead center of chains, and luckily I have the video footage; and (2) Completing an emotionally-charged 13-stroke victory in my division at the 2013 US Masters Championships with my oldest son (professional disc golfer David Muntean III) as my caddie only one week before he began his career as an officer in the Air Force. His guidance was a key to the victory, where we together placed primary emphasis on both visualization and playing strategically with patience.

What Separates Team Dynamic Discs?

Dynamic Discs is the most ambitious, hard-working organization in disc golf and the future is bright. The quality of DD products are amazing, they care sincerely about their customers, and their leadership is in touch with their team members. After a successful 2013, including the US Masters win and another 2nd Place at 2013 Am Worlds, the subsequent honor in joining the DD Team is the one moment that most accelerated my love for the game. They are a first class company, and it feels amazing to be part of their family!

In The Bag

Drivers

Dynamic Discs Lucid Trespass

A consistent and dependable long distance driver with a nice fade at the end. I also use this disc for long hyzer skip shots.

Dynamic Discs Lucid Renegade

An understable driver with long distance glide with the ability to manipulate a variety of shaped shots.

Westside Discs VIP Air King

As the absolute longest understable driver in my bag, I carry two of these depending on the fade required for the hole, as both have a slightly differently stability. Wind conditions have to be ideal.

Westside Discs VIP King

One of my top understable long distance drivers, it's more stable than my Air Kings, so it has a little fight against the medium headwinds.

Westside Discs Tournament Destiny

This is my 2nd longest driver, and it's also a high speed disc which is needed for drives which require slightly more hyzer than the Westside Discs VIP Air King.

Latitude 64 Opto Air Havoc

A long distance disc almost as long as the King. I use it for long distance drives that require more fade and stands up well to a medium stiff wind. I became a fan of air plastic drivers while competing in the 2014 Japan Open.

Westside Discs VIP Underworld

An understable fairway driver with decent glide that maintains a straight flight with a very slight fade in calm weather. It can be used for firm anhyzer throws. I carry two of these, one slightly more stable than the other.

Latitude 64 Opto Diamond

My most understable fairway driver. It can be thrown with a hyzer flip and then it drifts slight right during flight. It's perfect for tight lines where you want the disc to drift.

Midrange

Dynamic Discs Fuzion Evidence

One of my newest and longer distance midrange discs. I use it for the harder, more aggressive straight-ish shots. Love the grip.

Dynamic Discs Lucid Truth

This disc is structurally sound and has a dependable flight which I use for medium stable drives or upshots under 280'.

Dynamic Discs Lucid Warrant

This is a newer disc and has a straight flight path. I can get a little more length compared to my Tursas. Great for tightly wooded areas. I use it to battle the barely noticeable headwind.

Dynamic Discs Lucid Verdict

My most stable midrange disc with a dependable flight path and a rim design that allows me to get that long hard hyzer skip. Also great for getting out of trouble.

Westside Discs Tournament Tursas

I throw this disc like a natural hyzer shot, but it flips up immediately and stays straight all the way through. Also a super disc for technical anhyzer shots and for playing smart on tightly wooded holes.

Latitude 64 Gold Mace

One of my primary upshot money discs with a medium stable flight path. I throw this disc most often on holes which allow a hyzer approach to the basket.

Westside Discs VIP Sling

Slightly more stable than the Tursas, this disc is a beefy mold that can carve a path through tightly wooded areas. A great control disc.

Putters

Dynamic Discs Classic Soft Warden

My primary putter ever since this disc was released. I've been very pleased with this putter. I also recommend the Classic Blend plastic too. I'm a believer that you should continue to improve by sticking to the same putter type.

Latitude 64 Zero Soft Spike

I use this disc for putts that require a straighter path and/or a little more glide and distance.

Dynamic Discs Classic Slammer

An overstable putter with a killer grip, this disc battles the headwind and provides increased hyzer when you need it. One of the best new discs released in the sport!
