For new players who are just learning how to throw, just keep it fun and exciting and don't be scared to challenge yourself with a new shot shape during every round you play. For the ams that want to get to a professional level, get out to a field and film yourself throwing. Compare your footage to footage of top professionals and see if you can notice the similarities and the differences. This will help you focus on what you should be working on to get better. And just like the beginners, always remember to make it fun. It's surprising how much you improve when you make practicing fun and exciting!
Most Memorable Moment
My biggest disc golf moment was finishing 9th Place at my very first USDGC in 2014. I had watched my disc golf idols compete on Winthrop over the years and many of them failed on that course. So, for me to place in the top 10 without being sponsored yet showed me that I earned the right to be considered one of top players in the world. It was a huge mental breakthrough and that tournament finish has helped with the growth of me as a player ever since.
What Separates Team Dynamic Discs?
Dynamic Discs is the closest team I have ever been a part of. The family aspect is so warming and comfortable. The players all support each other on and off the course and the employees and owners are hands down the most helpful and supportive people in disc golf. It also doesn't hurt that they have the nicest plastic on the market. I'm so glad to be a part of the DD family!
