    2024 PDGA Masters Disc Golf World Championships

    2023 GBO Tournament Play IS Friday, April 28 to sunday, april 30

    history

    Eric McCabe and best friend Gabe Werly started the Glass Blown Open with big dreams in 2003. The event's first year was a PDGA B-Tier with 88 competitors. World-renowned artist Hal Berger designed the original glass trophies, which added tremendous value and prestige to the young event. In 2006, Hal passed away at 54 in his sleep and passed the art of blowing the glass trophies to Brice Turnbull, who studied under Berger. Now, the excitement for the event has surpassed the hopes and dreams of McCabe and Werly. The Glass Blown Open became the largest disc golf event in the world! Since then, it has changed time and time again.

    In 2023, the event will return as an Amateur-Only tournament. While this event will be for amateurs only, the experience will be nothing short of a professional event. We are proud of the past Glass Blown Open events and are excited about its future!

    Note: The 2023 Glass Blown Open is an amateur-only & trophy-only A-Tier. Dynamic Discs adds a Bonus Payout to a select group of top finishers. The specific bonus payout for each division will be posted soon.

    Tournament Refunds & Cancellations

    All participants agree to this policy when they register to play the event. PLEASE READ:

    • Entries cannot be exchanged/transferred to anyone else.
    • Player packs will not be received if you cannot check-in. ID required.
    • Players cannot pick up player packs for anyone else.
    • Player packs will not be given to anyone who withdraws.
    • Waitlist players who do not get into the event will receive a 100% cash refund minus the $1.34 processing fee from Disc Golf Scene.
    • Official withdrawals must be made to events@dynamicdiscs.com or submitted through Disc Golf Scene.

    Cancellations made on or before March 28 will receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry fee minus a $5 processing fee.

    Cancellations made from March 29 to April 13 will receive a 100% monetary refund of the entry fee ONLY if a player on the waitlist fills the canceled spot at the time of the withdrawal request. If the player’s spot is NOT filled, the TD has the choice to provide EITHER a 50% monetary refund of their entry fee OR the player’s pack the player would have received if they had attended (minus the shipping cost).

    Players who officially request to withdraw from an event on or after April 14 will receive a 100% monetary refund minus up to a $10 handling fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled by a player who is on the waitlist at the time of the withdrawal request. If the player’s spot is NOT filled, the TD has the choice to provide EITHER a 25% monetary refund OR just the player’s pack they would have received if they had attended (minus the shipping cost).

    Players who do NOT officially request to withdraw from a registered spot playing in the event before the published closure of registration and waitlist replacements and don’t play (aka a no-show) forfeit their entry fee and do NOT receive a refund or player’s pack. This does NOT apply to a waitlist player who receives NO refund.
