My Dynamic Discs Story:
As I was growing up my dad would take my brother and me camping fairly often. We would make sure to pack regular Frisbees with us on each trip and play object golf, mostly aiming for trees. Several years later in 2006, I played actual disc golf for the first time with a group of friends. I already knew I enjoyed the idea of the sport but quickly became hooked shortly after my first disc golf outing. I began tournament play in 2008, making sure to sign up for as many Dynamic Discs tournaments as possible. I was very impressed with DD's professionalism at these events.
A few years later, I met Steven Storrie through some mutual disc golf buddies. He was also an avid tournament player who got to know Jeremy Rusco fairly well. In 2012, Jeremy and Steven discussed the possibility of opening a Dynamic Discs franchise store in Lewisville, Texas. This idea quickly turned into a reality. Steven asked me if I would be interested in being the General Manager for Dynamic Discs Lewisville. I worked as a warehouse manager for a small medical supply company at the time. Eight days before Steven asked if I was interested in managing DD Lewisville, I was informed the medical supply company would be moving to New York. The timing was perfect as I was unsure of what my next job would be at that time. I immediately accepted his offer and I have not once regretted this decision.
We moved our store from Lewisville to Carrollton at the start of 2016 and currently run numerous annual tournaments throughout Texas. I'm also the assistant tournament director at Peter Pan every year for the Glass Blown Open. The GBO is a fantastic experience for participants and the staff alike! I am truly blessed to be a part of the Dynamic Discs family. Disc golf will continue growing at a rapid pace, and I know the entire Dynamic Discs staff will be one of the driving forces behind this. I look forward to many more years with the best company in disc golf!
