Be on the lookout for more experienced players on the course. Approach them and get to know them and ask to play with them. It may be intimidating at first but watch them and learn from them. Strive to be better than them and don’t stop until you are.
My first ace is still very memorable nearly 15 years later. We had travelled four hours away to play in a big tournament, I was competing in MA2 at the time and it was easily the largest event I had ever played in. I aced a fairly difficult hole that many people were scoring bogeys on. I ended up placing 2nd in the tournament. My winnings that weekend allowed me to get a practice basket that I still have to this day.
Everyone says it and we all mean it. Dynamic Discs is not just a team of golfers, a warehouse, and retail store. Dynamic Discs is not just a company. Dynamic Discs is a Family.
For those times when I need a disc that absolutely positively has to fight a headwind or hyzer out, also great for flex shots and hyzer spikes. It has a seemingly endless amount of overstability without being unmanageable.
When I need a little more stability and distance than the Trespass the Raider is the disc I’m reaching for.
The Trespass is a great high speed driver with not too much turn or too much fade. Very neutral in its flight.
For me, the Lucid-X Trespass will fight against winds and finish a little harder than the standard Lucid Trespass.
When I’m looking for a similar flight to my Escape but with more stability and a dependable fade I look to my Getaway. This disc will hold a straight line for most of its flight with a controllable amount of fade at the end.
For my bag, the Lucid-X Getaway slots in between the Felon and Enforcer when it comes to overstable drivers.
Glide, glide, and more glide. For how small and comfortable the rim is, the Escape will fly amazingly far, regardless of your arm speed or skill level.
The Explorer is without a doubt my favorite fairway driver ever. The Explorer is incredibly dependable with perfect stability and great glide. Once they’re a little worked in, they will fly dead straight with very little movement on the fairway. For me, this disc fills the spot of a longer EMAC Truth and I always have multiples in the bag.
The Maverick is my backhand roller disc and what I’ll reach for on air shots that need to work to the right without too much fade.
The Lucid-X Maverick is capable of hitting some lines that other discs just can’t. Easy to flip without the worry of it burning out with a reliable neutral finish.
The EMAC Truth is the best midrange I’ve ever thrown and it will likely stay that way. For me, the EMAC excels in the 275 to 300 foot range. It flies so unbelievably straight yet has predicable fade at the end. If you don’t throw an EMAC Truth, you are missing out!
Dependable overstable midrange that feels great in the hand. The Verdict fits in perfectly between the Anvil and EMAC Truth when it comes to distance and stability.
Very versatile understable midrange, whether it’s hyzerflips or long turning anhyzers with minimal fade. The Fuse is also a fantastic midrange for tailwinds when you need a nice straight flight.
The Warden feels absolutely great in the hand and thanks to being beadless has a very clean release. I use it mainly for putting but it’s also great for hyzerflips that hold a gentle turn.
If there is a straighter flying putter off the teepad, I’m not sure what it is. If you’re staring down a 200 foot tunnel look no further than the Pure. I have an Opto-X in the bag for that added bit of stability and longevity.
