Right around when Covid first hit I had practically nothing to do, and I really needed money. I had just got my first car, it was a tiny little ford ranger and it had a lot of issues. So my dad recommended I get a job, so I started looking for jobs. That’s when my dad told me he had found me a job. He said he talked to Kris Edson about working at DD. At first I was skeptical because I had no clue what disc golf was or that it even was a thing. But on the first day I really felt the welcoming energy from all of the other employees. It felt like a home, and it soon turned into that as I have worked here on and off for nearly 2 ish years. It’s been the best job I’ve ever had! Around 2-3 months into actually working at Dynamic I started to get myself into actually playing disc golf. I asked Kris to help me out and he sent me over to Derek and they already had a few discs set out for me (I still use the truth midrange they gave me). Later that day Derek took me out to the one hole we had at the old warehouse and showed me how to throw a little bit. That little moment and them helping boost me to get into disc golf has played a big role in my life. I now play disc golf consistently and during the school year this year I ended up becoming the disc golf club president. I have really improved my game over the past year or so and just started playing in some local tournaments. I have made many friends through disc golf and can’t wait to see what the future holds for me and Dynamic.
