My Dynamic Discs Story: As some of you may have guessed, I am Jeremy's older brother. After high school I moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2002 to play baseball for the University of North Carolina Charlotte. Immediately after I graduated, I started a career at Enterprise Rent-A-Car. I have always had a “behind-the-scenes” interest in my brother’s company and like the rest of my family wondered when he was going to get a "real job". Over the course of the years, I started to notice Dynamic Discs logos were popping up in Charlotte. It was amazing that my brother’s Kansas company had reached all the way out to the east coast somehow. It was great to follow the growth of the company over the years. Every time I talked to my brother, something new and exciting was in the works. I can still remember the DD crew staying at my house during Pro/Am Worlds in 2012. We played a round of disc golf with the Latitude 64 crew and started discussions on ways to take both businesses to the next level. That night Jeremy, Adam, Clay, Tyler, Stevo, and I spent the evening in my hot tub and over many beers the decision was made to introduce a DD manufactured product line to the world. We all knew this was going to be a game changer and would skyrocket the brands to the next level. At that point, I still could not imagine ever working with DD because I had built a successful career at Enterprise and felt like I had plenty of upside potential. In July 2014, we all took our annual family vacation to Destin, Florida and I was not at all surprised at how much Dynamic Discs had exploded since the big move to manufacturing. At that point, I was an Area Manager with Enterprise and had just celebrated my 10 year anniversary with the company. I had one of the strongest sales teams I could imagine working for me. I understood the sales process and told Jeremy that he needed to develop a sales team and start an outgoing sales process. I was amazed that he was able to grow so much organically without anyone making any outgoing calls asking for the business. We discussed going after major retailers and bringing Dynamic Discs to an industry leader and a household name. Jeremy looked at me and said, “That sounds great! You should do it.” I laughed and said, “Yeah right!” He kept his stern face and said, “Seriously, you should consider this.” We agreed to continue the conversation the next day at breakfast with our wives. After our breakfast, I was sold and ready to take on a new adventure and spend much more time with our family back home. We came back to Charlotte, listed our house for sale, and quit my job as soon as it sold. It seemed crazy to walk away from a 10 year successful career and work for my younger brother, but I couldn't be more appreciative and thankful for the opportunity. We now get to spend the day growing the sport and making Dynamic Discs a household name, but one of my favorite things about this job is watching my son Max dive into disc golf and dream about becoming the next world champion. So as a family, we are very glad Jeremy decided to hold off on getting a "real job" and chased his dream in the sport he loves.

Favorite part about working at Dynamic Discs: I have 4 favorite parts of working here. Everyone that works here says it's the family atmosphere and that is certainly true. For me, it's both literally and figuratively true. This is a sport driven by passion and most of the business owners I work with demonstrate this passion day in and day out. I love the relationships that I have built and love helping people make a living in the thing they are most passionate about. My third favorite part of working here is being around so many highly motivated people. We have a young motivated staff that is not afraid to go after and tackle anything. This team is not interested in repeating what's been done before. They want to come up with new ideas and ways to bring the sport to more people every day. The forward way of thinking and execution of ideas is unlike anything I have ever seen. My final favorite aspect is being a part of my brother's dream and playing an active role in growing that dream. We are certainly a large company, but Dynamic Discs and disc golf are both still on the ground floor of where we are going. I am very excited to see what the next 10 years will look like!
