My Dynamic Discs Story:
I started playing disc golf in 2013, and I tried everything. The first discs I bought were a Discraft ESP Nuke, a DGA Blowfly, and an Innova starter set that contained a DX Beast, Shark, and Dart. I carried everything but the kitchen sink in my bag until I picked up a Lucid Escape, and in the summer of 2014, I played my first PDGA tournament, The Rumble At Ravenwood, with a nearly all-Trilogy bag, and shortly after, I joined Team Trilogy.
Over the next two years, I played in as many tournaments as I could. I got to know JRay and Tyler Searle, who graciously and patiently took me under the hood of a disc golf tournament and explained all the moving parts. In 2015, I ran my first tournament, a Trilogy Challenge, and served as an assistant course director at Naval Hill DGC for the Music City Open (B-tier). In 2016, I TD'd my first PDGA event, and helped start a weekly/league called the Wednesday Night Tagstravaganza that still happens every Wednesday at Seven Oaks in Nashville. I was elected to the 2017 Music City Disc Golf Board of Directors, and helped negotiate a partnership between MCDG and Dynamic Discs. For the next 5+ years, Dynamic Discs provided sponsorship and support for 30+ events in the Greater Nashville area every year, and was instrumental in growing the Music City Open from a regional B-tier to the PDGA National Tour Finale in 2021.
Dynamic Discs, as a business, is built around identifying the good people doing good work at the local level, and giving them what they need to enrich people's lives through disc golf. Over the last decade, Dynamic Discs has become a second family, and the people here have supported me in all of my successes and failures. It is a great honor to be a part of this team, and I can't wait to see what the future holds!
